Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin admits that he is flattered by links with Barcelona, as talk that the Catalan giants may move for the Gunners star gathers steam.
The Camp Nou side are widely expected to part company with long-serving defender Dani Alves this summer, which would free up a spot in their backline ahead of next season.
Bellerin is a product of the Barca youth academy but was poached away from the Catalan club as a youngster by Arsene Wenger.
He has gone on to tie down the Gunners full-back role as his own and is widely regarded as one of the best players in his position in the Premier League.
Although Bellerin has not received a call-up to the Spanish national side, he is highly rated in his homeland and Barcelona are believed to be considering bringing the prodigal son back to Camp Nou.
When asked about the potential for a return, the Arsenal star failed to rule anything out.
“I don’t really get informed about offers,” The Mirror quote him as saying.
“My agent is the one that works on these sort of things, but I’m happy to receive interest from such great clubs. As a player it’s really nice.”
