Arsenal’s versatile defender Calum Chambers has promised that there is more to come from him after he netted his first ever Premier League goal of his career, Mirror reports.
The 19-year-old made the switch from Southampton in the summer and recently scored his first senior goal in the 3-0 win over Burnley and also provided an assist for Alexis Sanchez as well.
He revealed that he has been waiting quite a while for this moment and after becoming a regular member of the Gunners squad, he finally accomplished it.
“It felt amazing. It was my first professional goal, there’s no better feeling. It’s been a long time coming.
“I wouldn’t say I’ve been close before, maybe once or twice, but to get one finally is such a good feeling. I’ve been working on that celebration for years now. I’ve worked on it quite a few times in the garden as a kid, and now I finally got the chance to use it.
“It was a lovely moment. It was such a good feeling to score, I just want to keep going now. I want to get a few more this season.
“I want to push myself and improve my tally. I want to get more assists. I’ve got to keep pushing myself throughout the season.”
