Arsenal have been given a slight boost in their chase for Dynamo Kyiv star Andriy Yarmolenko after Ukraine coach Mykhaylo Fomenko urged him to make a move, Mirror reports.
The 26-year-old has also been linked with a switch to Everton in recent months and is now being tipped to make a transfer ahead of the summer window.
Fomenko admitted that if the interested parties are willing to make a move for his services, the winger should indeed consider the chance to play in England.
“If he is wanted by the top English clubs then, yes, he can show his best in the Premier League and he must do this,” he said.
“He is the leader of our team and leader of our squad.”
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is expected to make a number of changes in the summer given that his team has once again failed to mount a title charge.
Despite being title contenders a few months ago, his side are now 11 points adrift from league leaders Leicester City with only eight matches left to play.
Yarmolenko has already featured 28 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score 15 goals while providing another nine assists in the process.
