The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Spaniard, who made 31 appearances for Los Blancos last season in La Liga, scoring 3 goals. And with Granit Xhaka as the only marquee signing this summer, fans of the London club have been begging Arsene Wenger to splash the cash in the remaining weeks of the transfer window.
However, any pursuit of the midfielder may be wasted, with Isco’s father, who is also his agent, Paco Alarcon, claiming that a stay at the Bernabeu is the preferred option:
“In these weeks are so many rumors out , but we do not care . At the time we did not take into account any offers , neither Milan nor to other clubs” Said his agent.
“Isco wants to continue his adventure at Real Madrid and hopes to renew his contract when it expires in 2018.”
Newly funded Milan had also been linked with the Madrid midfielder, after the club’s takeover by a Chinese consortium has lead to a much larger transfer kitty. But they, with the Gunners, won’t take any joy from hearing the comments.
Isco came off the bench in the UEFA Champions League final back in May, but wasn’t one of their penalty takers.
