Arsenal to hijack Liverpool’s move for world-class attacker

Arsenal are ready to make a move for Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus, who has been linked with a switch to Liverpool recently, as per Metro.

The Germany international is widely acknowledged as one of the most exciting young attackers in European football and has been impressing over recent years for club and country.

The Reds are eager to make a statement after losing Raheem Sterling to Manchester City and have already signed a host of new players including Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino.

However, Brendan Rodgers’ men face a battle to land Reus, with Arsenal supposedly ready to offer more than £45 million for the former Borussia Monchengladbach man in a bid to bolster their squad and put forward a title challenge next season.

Reus signed a new contract at Signal Iduna Park back in February but with Dortmund missing out on European qualification last term has been consistently linked with an exit from the Bundesliga side.
