Arsenal are ready to go head-to-head with Chelsea in their efforts to sign Ademola Lookman from Charlton, Mirror reports.
The 18-year-old is also being linked with Premier League rivals Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur.
Scouts from all the interested parties are said to have been present when Lookman managed to score a goal in the 3-2 loss at the hands of Brighton this past weekend, his first senior strike.
The forward is attracting huge interest from a number of clubs after impressing since his time playing for the Under 18 and Under 21 squads, registering 16 goals at youth level this term.
All the mentioned sides are now said to be preparing an offer for his services, but will most likely allow him to return to continue his development with his current club.
Lookman is now expected to be the subject of a January transfer tussle between the Premier League elites despite talks that Charlton are prepared to offer him a new contract.
