Arsene Wenger is hoping to bring Crystal Palace’s Yannick Bolasie across London to the Emirates Stadium, that is according to reports in the Metro.
Arsenal are apparently willing to bid £20million for the Palace winger – although just this week, Alan Pardew suggested it would take £40-60million to sign the winger – but face competition from their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur as well as fellow Premier League outfit Liverpool.
The DR Congo international has been a mainstay in Palace’s side this season, continually showcasing his speed and tricky feet against some of the league’s top defenders.
Arsenal, however, currently have a wealth of attacking options even with Yaya Sanogo, Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski all out on loan. Spurs and Liverpool may well be able to guarantee the winger more first-team opportunities, although the Gunners are looking like the only team out of the trio who can offer Champions League football next season.
