Arsenal have turned down a chance to sign former Manchester United centre-back Nemanja Vidic, Express reports.
Inter Milan offered the Serbia international to the Gunners in order to help solve their defensive woes, but it seems Arsene Wenger has rejected the notion of signing Vidic in January.
The Ex-Red Devils captain only left Old Trafford this past summer, but after being unable to impress now Inter boss Roberto Mancini, could depart if a fair offer is made to the Serie A giants.
Arsenal have been struggling with injuries this season, especially at the back with key defender Laurent Koscielny being unable to play on a regular basis due to niggling ankle problems.
Calum Chambers has had to fit in for the Frenchman, with right-back Mathieu Debuchy even having to play at centre-back when Chambers was on a suspension.
But despite their issues in defence, Wenger isn’t keen on Vidic and will look elsewhere once the transfer market reopens next month.
