Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is demanding an increase in his current wages as Manchester United continue to monitor his situation, Football Insider reports.
The 22-year-old is now being paid £52,000-a-week, but is keen to secure a deal that could double his wages to £100,000-a-week.
He is still tied down at the Emirates for another two years, so the Gunners will not be in a rush to meet his demands at the moment.
Chelsea are also linked with a move for the England international, another factor that could now force his side to open talks or risk the player being swayed away with a new challenge elsewhere.
However, the winger may be persuaded by the move given that he has been struggling to retain a regular role under manager Arsene Wenger this season.
Oxlade-Chamberlain only managed to start nine Premier League games this term, featuring another 13 times from the bench, scoring one goal so far.
