Arsenal’s attacking talisman Mesut Ozil has poured cold water on rumours he could leave the North London club this summer and has stated he is happy at the Emirates Stadium.
The Germany international has had an excellent campaign, creating a league-high 18 assists for the Gunners this season so far.
This has led to rumblings that some of Europe’s top clubs, including Barcelona, could make a move for the World Cup winner at the end of the season.
Despite the links, Ozil has stated that he is not considering an exit and is content where he is.
“I still have two more years after this season, I feel… as I have said that in the past, I feel really good,” Metro quote the former Real Madrid man as saying.
“My team mates are great, the city is great, but as said, you can never tell what will happen in football.
“But I have two more years after this season, and yes… as I said before, I am very happy here.”
Ozil’s time in England has been full of ups and downs, with a blistering start to life at Arsenal followed by an injury plagued period and a dip in form.
However, this term the diminutive playmaker has been in inspired form and back to his best, with his performances key in keeping Arsene Wenger’s men in the title race.
