Arsenal’s record signing keen for a January move

Arsenal’s record signing Mesut Ozil is looking to leave the club for Bayern Munich in January, according to the Daily Mail.

Ozil only completed his £42.5million move to the Emirates from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013, but has struggled to make the desired impact under Arsene Wenger.

Reports suggest the German international has grown unhappy in north London, especially since he is not being played in his preferred position behind the striker.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are said to be preparing a £30million January bid to bring him back to Germany, and Ozil will try and force the move through.

Ozil returned to Germany last week to discover that a minor knee injury looks set to keep him out of action for up to three months.

If that proves to be the case, then the 25-year-old could even have played his last game for the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on signing Julian Draxler in January, with the 20-year-old Schalke star possibly arriving as a replacement for Ozil.
