Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed summer Alexis Sanchez after another match-winning display this past weekend, Daily Mail reports.
The Chilean scored a brace in their 3-0 win over Burnley on Saturday, which was his fifth goal in just three games for the Gunners.
And manager Arsene Wenger has praised the 26-year-old, which included his surprise at Sanchez’s ability to out-leap two Burnley defenders to score a header.
“It was a typical English goal and I didn’t expect that from him,” said Wenger.
“I didn’t count on him in the air at all. But I know that in the air it is more about desire and he has that. He is a winner and finds the resources to get you a goal when it is 0-0. That’s what is important.
“We are in a job where you can always improve,” he added. “He is unbelievably keen and every day wants to practice everyday.”
Sanchez was purchased from Barcelona for £30million in the summer window, and after initially finding it hard to adjust to his new environment, is leading the Arsenal charge with 10 goals in 16 appearances this season.
