Ashley Young has fired out a warning to Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal to not write off Manchester United’s chances of winning the title, Daily Star reports.
Despite failing to win in their first three games of the new Premier League season, Young insists it is still too soon to count the Red Devils out as title challengers.
United spent over £150million in the transfer window this past summer, and the England international believes the club’s new signings can be the impetus needed to get the league’s most successful club back on track.
Young said: “In previous seasons when we haven’t started the season so well we’ve gone on to win the league.
“People have written us off already but everyone here knows you don’t write off a club like United.
“People can say what they want but internally we all know exactly what we’re striving to do, what goals we’ve set and what we want to achieve.
“There is no point panicking after a handful of games.
Young has started at left-wing back the past few fixtures, but could lose his place to Luke Shaw for their next game against Queen Park Rangers who has just recovered from a hamstring injury.
