Aston Villa midfielder Kieran Richardson is urging his team to continue their highly impressive start to the Premier League campaign after picking up a total of seven points from a possible nine, Mirror reports.
Many believe that Paul Lambert would have a hard time this season after the club was put up for sale in the summer and see a large chunk of the transfer budget being pulled back.
Richardson remains upbeat on the squads ability to cause an upset when they travel to Liverpool this weekend.
He said: “We are full of confidence at the moment and playing well. We look solid so I don’t see why we can’t go there and cause an upset.
“We have the players to do that. Not everyone expects us to win so there is no pressure and if we can get a result it would be a great thing.”
The 29-year-old also praised the impact of assistant manager Roy Keane, who Lambert has brought into the team as well.
“Roy has been fantastic. He has been great with the lads and put on good sessions. He is a good motivator in the dressing room – especially for the young lads. It is good having such a man in the changing room.”
