Aston Villa boss weighs up move for Argentine

Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier

Aston Villa manager Gerard Houllier is looking to bring disfavoured Barcelona defender Gabriel Milito  to Villa Park in the summer, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

The former Liverpool boss would also relish in signing Emir Spahic from Montpellier, but remains a more expensive option compared to Milito, who is a free agent.

Milito, 30, has only featured in 10 games this season and is looking for a new challenge.

However,  Villa may have to fight off other clubs for his signature, as interest from Serie A outfit Genoa has also been reported.
