Aston Villa eyeing exciting transfer coups for Chelsea & Spurs hotshots

According to reports from The Telegraph, Aston Villa are considering a £3million transfer bid for Tottenham Hotspur defender DeAndre Yedlin.

The 39-cap USA international signed for the Lilywhites in summer 2014 but spent last season on loan at Sunderland, establishing himself as the Black Cat’s first choice right-back in the latter part of the campaign.

Express and Star suggested earlier this week that Roberto Di Matteo is unconvinced by his current right-back options and The Telegraph would appear to agree, claiming the Villa boss is weighing up a bid for the 23-year-old who is reportedly clear to leave White Hart Lane.

The British newspaper further add that Villa are in the market for a new centre-forward, with Chelsea’s prodigious poacher Patrick Bamford one of the options on their radar.

The 22-year-old, who bagged 17 goals for Middlesbrough to claim the Championship Player of the Year award in 2014/15, was also linked with a Villa switch by ESPN last week.
