Aston Villa are currently in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a move to sign Aaron Lennon for the upcoming campaign, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old spent the second half of the season on loan at Everton and is still being linked with the club following his impressive spell.
It is now believed that manager Tim Sherwood has opened talks with Spurs over a potential £5million move for the winger.
Lennon is not likely to play a part at Spurs in the upcoming campaign, with boss Mauricio Pochettino earlier revealing that he is open to his sale.
Sherwood is also interested in the services of Tottenham star Andros Townsend to reinforce his squad, but the England international is keen to prove himself at White Hart Lane.
The Toffees are also considering the idea of making his move to Goodison Park permanent, but talks have been halted as the two clubs are yet to agree on a transfer fee.
