Newcastle United are known for their dedicated and passionate supporters, particularly when they’re all cheering from the stands at St James’ Park.
Christian Atsu, who joined the Magpies from Chelsea in the summer following an initial loan spell, is well aware of how influential the fans are.
This Saturday, the North-East outfit will welcome Bournemouth to their home as the team aim to bounce back from Monday night’s 1-0 defeat to Burnley.
Atsu is familiar with Bournemouth having spent part of the 2015-16 campaign on loan at the coastal club.
The midfielder, who has started all but one of Newcastle’s Premier League games this season, believes that the visiting team should be worried about the impact that the Magpies’ following has on the players.
Prior to the match, Atsu sat down with the club’s in-house TV channel to discuss the supporters.
