Chelsea will take striker Romelu Lukaku back from West Brom at the end of the season and the young starlet will be given a chance to play in the first team next season.
Romelu Lukaku has had an impressive loan spell at the Baggies this season scoring 13 goals, but Steve Clarke admits that it is unlikely that he will get a 2nd chance at loaning the in-form striker and is resigned to losing him in May.
“He is Chelsea’s player. He belongs to Chelsea and he will go back there in the summer’ He told The Mirror
“I have never thought it would be possible Chelsea would let him come back next season. He came on a season-long loan and we’re grateful we got him.”
It is fairly obvious that Chelsea are lacking any consistent goalscorer and they are focusing on changing that this summer.
They are currently relying on Fernando Torres and new signing Demba Ba upfront and there seems to be a lack of goals from their attacking duo and while they will certainly bring in a new striker this summer, with Radamel Falcao continually linked, Lukaku’s return will certainly give the new manager at Stamford Bridge plenty of attacking options.
