Ballack close to choosing

Germany international midfielder Michael Ballack says that he will make a decision where he will play his football next season within the next two weeks.

The 33-year-old was allowed to leave Chelsea at the end of last season, while he is currently sitting out the World Cup finals in South Africa due to an ankle injury.

Ballack has been linked with a number of clubs back in his homeland, including former employers Bayer Leverkusen, while Sevilla are also rumoured to be an interested party.

"I am able to confirm that I am going to make up my mind quickly," Ballack told Bild. "There will be a decision on my future in the next two weeks."

Ballack spent four seasons with Chelsea, having made his name in the Bundesliga with First Bayer Leverkusen and then Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Germany defender Serdar Tasci is set to stay with Stuttgart next season, according to the player's agent.

The 23-year-old has been linked with the likes of Juventus and AC Milan, but Uli Ferber expects his client to stay put.

He told Stuttgarter Zeitung:"Serdar Tasci has a contract with VfB Stuttgart and he is feeling at home being a player of that club.

"At this point in his career he has no willingness to move on, we have really not lined up a transfer."
