Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has suggested a move to another Premier League could would be of interest should he fail to agree a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Ballack, 33, is out of contract this summer and has yet to hold talks with the Blues hierarchy over extending his stay.

The Germany captain has been with the London club for four seasons and would be happy to sign a new deal, but he is open to the possibility of moving on to a new club preferably in England.

Ballack has been linked with a return to the Bundesliga with Schalke in recent weeks.

"After the season, we are definitely going to hold talks with the (Chelsea) decision makers and then we will see where things go from there," he said.

"My primary aim is to stay in the Premier League."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
