Balotelli happy at Manchester City

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has quashed rumours linking him with a move back to Italy, and has stated that he is happy in England.

The temperamental forward has had an up and down time since moving to the United Kingdom, with glimpses of genius blighted by off-field indiscipline and a questionable attitude.

The attacker has been linked with a move back to old club Inter, whilst AC Milan are also thought to be interested in him, however for the time being Balotelli is content at the Etihad Stadium.

“How much do I miss the Serie A? Zero. I’m too happy to be in England,” he told Sky Sports.

“The Italian league has dropped much. The Premier League is beautiful and I play in the strongest English team. I want to stay there.

“Premier League-level football has taught me so much – to run, chase the ball or to press when I lose the ball. Now I’m playing more regularly and this has given me more security.

“Where would I like to play in Italy? In Lombardy. If one day there is the basis to return to Milan I would do. But it would need to be a team with big ambition. For now, however, I’m not thinking about leaving the Premier League.

“AC Milan? I like them, they’re a top club. They’ve had great players and some are there now. They are players with whom I’d like to play. How close was I to AC Milan? I don’t know, only my agent knows,” he concluded.
