It seems certain that Thierry Henry will be leaving Barcelona in the summer after the club's president Joan Laporta hinted that he would be willing to let the former Arsenal star move on.

The 32-year-old Frenchman has scored 43 goals in 86 starts for Barca during his time at the Camp Nou, but has spent most of the second half of this season on the substitutes bench.

Henry, who has been linked with a switch to the New York Red Bulls, moved to Spain almost three years ago, but Laporta said:"He still has a one-year contract with us, but after a disappointing year I do not know what he will do.

"In Barcelona we respect contracts, but he probably has not done as well as he wanted.

"Therefore, I say that he may go away in the summer transfer window if that's what he wants."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
