Barcelona and Man United alerted by potential sale of £31.6m Italian wonderkid

AC Milan are considering the sale of wonderkid goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer, which has alerted the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona, and Real Madrid, according to reports from Football Italia.

Donnarumma emerged from the Milan youth team this season to cement his place as the club’s number one, despite only turning 17 last month.

The prodigy has had some impressive displays in the Rossoneri goal and the Serie A giants will be reluctant to let Donnarumma leave any time soon, but with the club once again in financial trouble, he may be sold to balance their books before the start of next season.

Italian paper Tutttosport has claimed that Milan are already preparing a new contract for Donnarumma, but if an offer in the region of £31.6million (€40million) is submitted by one of Man United, Barca, or Real, then they will consider his sale as a sacrifice for the team.

Labelled as the ‘next Buffon’, Donnarumma has made 22 appearances in the Italian top flight this season, keeping eight clean sheets.
