Barcelona are believed to be very happy to have drawn Arsenal in the Champions League round of 16, Mirror reports.
The La Liga champions have a very good record against their Premier League opponents, a factor that will likely increase their confidence of going all the way to the final.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger already suffered a 6-3 aggregate defeat back in 2010 and then another 5-2 loss the following year.
Wenger also led his team to the Champions League final back in 2006, but were unable to overcome the Spanish giants, losing out once again.
His side only managed beat Barca on one occasion from a total of seven matches in the competition, with a source out of the Spanish club admitting that they were hoping to avoid Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
“This is the draw we wanted,” they said.
“We did not want to play Paris or Juve – but this is more straight-forward. We feel we have dodged a bullet.”
The Gunners have so far enjoyed a successful domestic campaign as they sit second on the table, two points behind leaders Leicester City.
