Barcelona have identified Arsenal star Hector Bellerin as the perfect replacement for club legend Dani Alves, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.
Alves has spent a majority of his career with the La Liga giants, winning an incredible amount of trophies and accolades during eight successful years at the club.
However, the Brazil international’s contract will expire at the end of the season, and while an extension is not off the table, at the age of 32 Alves is likely to depart the Nou Camp.
And the Catalans have drawn a wishlist of potential candidates, with Gunners ace Bellerin on top of the pile.
The 21-year-old was a Barca youth product but left for Arsenal in 2011, making his breakthrough last season due to Mathieu Debuchy’s long-term injury.
The Spaniard is expected to cost Barcelona at least £20million, but with Bellerin happy in London and his contract running till 2019, the European champions face an uphill battle to secure his signature.
