Arsenal star Theo Walcott is being linked with a shock switch to Barcelona following a long-term injury to Rafinha, according to AS, as reported by the Metro.
The Barca star tore his anterior cruciate ligament during the Champions League draw with Roma in midweek and was set to undergo surgery.
Walcott is currently being used on a rotation basis with Olivier Giroud after revealing that he wanted to play as a striker rather than his usual winger role.
The La Liga champions have also lost Pedro to Chelsea during the summer window and are now short of backup to their attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar.
They are said to be looking for a forward capable of playing anywhere in the front line, with the England international being lined up for a potential January switch due to his versatility in attack.
He has so far featured in five out of six Premier League matches this term, scoring one goal, but is often substituted in or out during the second half with Giroud.
