Barcelona are looking to trigger their buy-back option for Gerard Deulofeu as they look to increase their options for the upcoming campaign, Talksport reports.
The 21-year-old completed a £4.2million move from the La Liga to the Premier League during last year’s summer window, but could now be on his way back to Spain.
As part of his agreement to join the Toffees, Barca included a clause into his contract that has an option for the club to re-sign the winger within two years of his departure.
Given the prior agreement, Deulofeu will be available for £6.3million at the end of the current campaign while his price will increase to £9.3million when the upcoming season comes to a close.
Mundo Deportivo claims Barca boss Luis Enrique has already sent scouts to monitor his displays this year as he plots a potential move to see him return to his former club.
He has already featured 28 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score four goals while providing another 12 assists.
