Dani Alves has described playing against Luis Suarez as a ‘pain in the balls’, as was reported by the Daily Mail.
The two Barcelona stars faced off as Brazil played Uruguay and the full-back was tasked with stopping with the terrorising centre-forward. Suarez was making his return to international football since his suspension for biting Chiellini in the 2014 World Cup and he managed to find the net as Uruguay drew 2-2 with a mixed Brazilian XI.
Alves was clearly frustrated about having to deal with his Barca team mate and he spoke openly about the challenges he faced from the ex-Liverpool man after the game.
‘It’s very difficult to play against Suarez. It’s a pain in the balls. He is always cooking up something, lurking for that one small chance,’ said Alves.
Suarez was separated from his fellow Barcelona stars, Messi and Neymar, whilst on international duty, but the three will be reunited soon to continue their charge towards La Liga and Champions League success.
