Bayern Munich duo Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski currently tops Manchester United’s summer transfer wishlist, with manager Louis van Gaal still keen on at least two more players, according to reports from the Express.
The Red Devils have been extremely active in the transfer market, already signing Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, and Morgan Schneiderlin the past few months.
However, Van Gaal is not looking to end his business there, with the Dutch boss keen on a quality striker, a central defender, and a potential replacement for star goalkeeper David de Gea if he does depart to Real Madrid.
And despite revealing he is prepared to use Rooney up front, the former Bayern Munich manager hopes that one of Lewandowski or Muller follows Schweinsteiger to Old Trafford this summer.
The Red Devils are also favourites to land Barcelona star Pedro after Chelsea dropped out of the race for the Spain international, and are currently in talks with Argentina’s Sergio Romero to replace Victor Valdes’ imminent departure.
