Bayern Munich are monitoring Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier ahead of a potential move in the future, according to report from the London Evening Standard.
Dier has had a brilliant campaign for the Lilywhites thus far, with manager Mauricio Pochettino deploying him in a defensive midfield role that has helped Spurs to second on the table.
However, it was in the Europa League that Dier’s performances caught the attention of Bayern, despite Tottenham losing 5-1 on aggregate to Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16.
Bayern ace Xabi Alonso’s contract with the Bundesliga giants will expire at the end of next season, prompting the Bavarians to monitor Dier as a potential replacement for the Spaniard.
The versatile defender also impressed while on international duty, in which he helped England to a 3-2 victory over Germany in a friendly last month, scoring the winning goal via a header during injury time.
Dier has made 45 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals.
