Bayern Munich pair Manuel Neuer and Jerome Boateng are predicting that Arsenal will ‘park the bus’ during their Champions League clash on Tuesday, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.
The Gunners secured a famous 2-0 victory over Bayern at the Emirates to keep the London Club’s hopes of qualifying from the group stages alive two weeks ago following two defeats in succession.
And knowing that Arsenal will need another positive result at the Allianz Arena this week, Neuer and Boateng both believe that Arsene Wenger’s men will come as an even more defensive unit compared to their home clash.
“Arsenal will have followed the game and will have seen, that defensively it wasn’t easy for us,” Neuer told FIFA.com.
“Perhaps they will play even more defensively as in the away game.”
Bayern’s winning streak in the Bundesliga finally ended when they were held 0-0 by Eintracht Frankfurt, and Boateng is expecting a similar sort of rugged approach from the Gunners.
“We have to regenerate now and do better against Arsenal,” he said.
“Arsenal pulled everyone back at their place and I guess it’ll be pretty much the same again.”
Arsenal finally look like they could be title challengers after a good run of results in the league, which sees them tied on points with leaders Manchester City.
