Beckham dismisses City’s title chances

David Beckham has stated that despite the strong team Manchester City have and their lead at the top of the Premier League, they will not be crowned English champions this season.

Roberto Mancini’s men are the only unbeaten team in the top flight and are seen as a serious contender for the crown, especially given the stuttering form of Manchester United and Chelsea of late.

Despite this, the LA Galaxy midfielder feels that Sir Alex Ferguson’s men have the necessary experience to oust their big-spending rivals.

“I don’t think Manchester City have a chance,” Beckham told reporters at a press conference.

“This season they have got a good team and have some good players, but Manchester United have more experience and know how to win a championship.”

The former England international is coming to the end of his contract at the MLS outfit, and is being chased by a number of English and European clubs.

Paris Saint Germain are said to be one of his biggest suitors, but Beckham has stated that he does not know where his future lies.

“I have a big decision to make,” he concluded.
