Belgians seek loan deal for Chelsea winger

Anderlecht managing director Herman Van Holsbeeck has claimed that the Belgian club want to sign Chelsea winger Kevin de Bruyne on loan in January, as reported by Sky Sports.

German clubs Schalke and Wolfsburg are also chasing the talented 22 year old who is searching for regular first team football with a place at the World Cup with Belgium his ultimate aim for the season.

Jose Mourinho wanted to keep the winger with the Chelsea squad this summer and de Bruyne has featured on occasion for the Blues this season, but not enough for his liking.

A loan move in January could be the best deal for Chelsea and de Bruyne and Anderlecht are confident of luring the former Genk star back to his native country.

“Kevin could come to Anderlecht in January,” he told Het Laatste Nieuws.

“It’s not an easy deal, but it is something we are investigating. The World Cup being next year makes this possible – he wants regular football so he makes the competition.”
