Fernando Torres is happy at Liverpool despite increasing speculation linking the striker with a summer switch to Manchester City, according to Reds boss Rafael Benitez.
Benitez has reacted to City manager Roberto Mancini's words of praise for the Spain striker by insisting the 26-year-old frontman is fully committed to the Merseyside club.
Speculation linking the former Atletico Madrid hot-shot with a £60million summer switch to Eastlands has increased after Mancini described Torres as a "fantastic striker" and hinted that he would be on his wish-list of summer transfer targets.
But Speaking after Thursday's 1-0 Europe League semi-final first leg defeat to Atletico which Torres missed through injury, Benitez said:"Torres is happy.
"The thing he's thinking about now is being ready as soon as possible and that's it.
"From the beginning he's said he's been very happy at Anfield."
