Sunderland boss Steve Bruce continues to heap praise on Darren Bent following his brace in Monday's 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers.
After a goalless first half, the England striker fired the visitors in front following a goalmouth scramble.
Morten Gamst Pedersen provided an immediate response, before Bent grabbed his second of the game with a smart finish.
El Hadji Diouf came off the bench to head home the equaliser, but Bruce was left to wax lyrical about his 13-goal marksman.
"Darren has done terrifically well and he has been a breath of fresh air," he said.
"He has wanted to play for us since the day we signed him.
"Darren has never groaned about the geography of where he's come and he has had a wonderful start.
"Obviously now we need to help him out a little bit but he has had a wonderful start."
