Beskitas have revealed that they will do everything in their power to sign Manchester United star Robin van Persie, according to reports from the Express.
The 31-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent weeks after a season which saw him struggle for form and fitness.
The likes of Lazio and Roma are both keeping an eye on the situation, but it is clubs in Turkey that are most keen on the attacker.
Fenerbache, Galatasaray , and Besiktas all want to lure the Netherlands striker to their respective sides, but it seems to be the latter that is pushing hard for the switch.
“If the conditions are right and if he also wants to come we are willing to make an offer, even if it would push us to the limit financially,” said Besiktas Director Yalcin Kaya Yilmaz.
“He would really get the crowd going at the stadium and sales from season tickets and merchandise alone would be able to make back our investment.”
Van Persie started his Premier League career after moving to Arsenal from Feyenoord in 2004, but the next several years the Dutchman suffered from various injury concerns to limit his game-time.
But in the 2011-2012 campaign, ‘RVP’ burst into the scene scoring an incredible 30 league goals for the Gunners, which earned him a move to Manchester where he subsequently won the title.
