The major football awards are still a few months away at the end of the season, but certain companies within the casino industry are still celebrating after the recent Global Gaming Awards took place in London. Among the companies who took home a major award was Bet365, recognised on the night as the industry's No.1 Online Sports Betting Operator.

In addition to Bet365's win, there were many other companies honoured at the ceremony. You can see the full list of Global Gaming Awards Winners on casinoreviews.co.uk. The winners at the second ceremony in two years were announced at the Hippodrome Casino, with guests treated to an afternoon tea. Last year’s event was held in the gambling capital of the world, Las Vegas but this year, organisers saw fit to bring the ceremony to the UK.

A winner from each of the 16 categories was announced, with each recognised for the excellent operational quality they have demonstrated over the past year. The event also saw the largest coming together of chief executives from the industry in the same room than we'll see at any other time this year.

50-strong panel

There’s no doubt that simply being nominated for this award is a huge achievement for any company, with this particular event already being one of the industry’s most respected and trusted. A panel of 50 expert judges decided on the winners after they submitted their first two choices in each of the categories.

Aside from Bet365, other winners on the night included Betradar for best retail supplier, with SBTech and BetConstruct making up the top three in that category. Novomatic was named as the Best Casino Supplier, with the online equivalent to the award going to Evolution Gaming. Jumanji from NetEnt was the most popular game in the Best Casino Product category, with Live Beyond and CrystalCurve rounding out the top three.

More winners

Trustly was named the Best Payment Provider, with PayPal and Easy Payment Gateway also making the top three. Continent8 Technologies was named Best Corporate Service Provider. Kindred Group’s Player Safety Early Detection System won the award for Best Corporate Responsibility Programme. Kenny Alexander was voted the industry’s Best Chief Executive, beating out competition from Jesper Svensson and Pontus Lindwall.

The main partner for this year’s event was online gaming software firm BetConstruct, with Pragmatic Play, ActiveWin, Betradar, Asia Live Tech, SG Digital, and Inbet Games as category sponsors. To ensure that there was nothing short of full transparency, the voting process was adjudicated by KMPG Isle of Man.
