As reported in an exclusive by The Daily Record, Craig Gordon has put pen to paper on a new deal at Celtic that will keep him at the club until 2020.

What's the story?

Speculation around Craig Gordon's future at the Hoops has rumbled on ever since Chelsea submitted bids for the goalkeeper in January.

However, that's all been put to bed and the Scotland international has given Celtic a big boost in derby week, as they prepare to face Rangers on Sunday with Gordon likely playing a big part.

That's according to The Daily Record who say the 34-year old signed the deal for three-and-a-half years this morning, with the announcement to be made by the club in the next 24 hours.

A good bit of business?

Craig Gordon has been in outstanding form, not just this season but ever since he joined the club in 2014. At 34 years old he's getting on a bit but seems to be as good as ever, even adding to his game under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers and his staff.

The 'keeper has improved his distribution game massively, now able to confidently pass the ball out of defence and link-up with the teammates immediately in front of him instead of kicking the ball into the midfield areas.

Incredibly he has helped the Bhoys to a massive 23 clean sheets this season in all competitions, highlighting that he is more than worth the new deal that has reportedly been signed.
