Chelsea and Manchester United look to be dealt a huge blow as top midfield target Paul Pogba is set to agree a new contract with Juventus, Daily Star reports.
The 21-year-old is on the verge of extending his stay in the Serie A until 2019 with a new deal worth £3million-a-year, possibly ending hopes of the Premier League duo acquiring his signature.
Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta has already negotiated a new deal with Pogba’s representatives as it is believed that he will complete the signing at the end of this week,
His agent earlier revealed that his client was happy at his current club and a that a new deal was already in the process.
“Paul is happy in Turin, the negotiations for the renewal are underway, they could take a long time just as they could be closed very quickly, we’ll see.
“It depends on several things, not just the money.”
