Blues handed Drogba boost

Chelsea head coach Carlo Ancelotti is delighted to have star striker Didier Drogba back in the fold following a lengthy Champions League suspension.

Drogba missed three games due to his angry reaction to being knocked out in last season's semi-finals by eventual winners Barcelona, but he is back in contention for the trip to Atletico Madrid.

Ancelotti commented:"I didn't know what happened last season. I saw what happened.

"I didn't speak with him about this, I'd rather speak about the results of the last three games.

"I told him to prepare for his return tomorrow (Tuesday). Tomorrow he will return to work for the team and he is ready to work."

Meanwhile, Ancelotti has admitted that his main focus this season is to finally secure European football's top club honour for the Blues.

He added:"The Champions League, for me, is the most important trophy this season.

"I won it as a player and a coach and it was a fantastic moment in my career. I think for this club it's important to try in all competitions until the end of the season.

"To win the Champions League is very, very difficult. Everything has to go well for us to win."
