The Sun is reporting that Birmingham’s Ben Foster is not looking to move on despite the fact that he is believed to be a target for North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal. But after years of frustration as a Manchester United player, Foster is just delighted to be playing every week in the Premier League and is not pushing for a move to one of the Premier League big boys.
Foster said “I’ve loved every minute of this season. The dressing room here and the spirit is fantastic and I wouldn’t want to leave that. “it’s nice to be linked but you see Gomes and Tottenham are going be linked with 10 keepers today. That’s the way it is. But I’m happy here.”
Foster was only a back-up goalkeeper at Manchester United – but has hardly missed a game for Birmingham City, since that £4m summer move. Foster has also managed to become a regular in the England squad – Foster has currently played 5 times for England.
Foster went on to say that “Along with when I was at Watford for two years, this season’s performances are up there with that. I’m back home where I was born. Peter Odemwingie said a happy man at home is a happy man on the pitch. I totally agree.”
