Fredi Bobic has dismissed talk of Pavel Pogrebnyak moving to England in the distant future as simply rumours with little substance.
The Stuttgart boss spoke out as reports in Germany intensified that both Tottenham and Liverpool were planning a January swoop for the Russian target man.
Bobic insists that while he knows of the Premier League duo’s apparent interest in the former Zenit star, no actually discussions or approaches have actually been made:
“I have been listening to rumours that Liverpool and Tottenham have their eyes on Pavel.
“It’s a fact. However, none of these clubs have been talking to us about him lately. He is a player of VfB Stuttgart.“(Bild)
