Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is confident of being able to agree a new contract with Johan Elmander.
The Sweden striker has gone some way to silencing his doubters after scoring four goals in eight appearances for the Trotters this season.
The 29-year-old had flattered to deceive at times following his £8million arrival from Toulouse in summer 2008.
However, his form this season has led to talk of a new deal and Coyle is keen to tie the striker down to fresh terms.
"I want Johan at the club and I am pretty sure we will sit down soon and talk about it," he explained.
"He shows with his form and the things he says that he wants to be at the club."
