It’s a battle of the Premier League top two after the opening day saw both clubs record 4-0 victories over newly promoted teams.
Bolton sit top of the table after their hefty win away at QPR whilst City or should that be Sergio Agüero steamrollered over newcomers Swansea City. Whilst it’s early days yet the performance of Agüero in just 30 minutes blew away fans at the Etihad Stadium and beyond with two goals and an assist announcing him as the poster boy of the Premier League. Despite that they’ll face tougher opposition on Sunday in the form of Bolton. The Trotters were superb in their opening day win at Loftus Road and Owen Coyle’s side will be streaming with confidence going into this game. Kevin Davies will be the focal point of attack at the Reebok Stadium and will look to intimidate his opponents’ expensive defensive line up.
The home side don’t have any fresh injury worries although Sam Rickets could make his return from a shin injury. City have a clean bill of health and could hand a debut to their new £38 million Argentinian after his devastating cameo on Monday night.

Kevin Davies: Captain Davies will be expected to put the cat amongst the pigeons in City’s defence with his brutal and uncompromising style of play. Will be a huge thorn in the visitors side!

David Silva: The Spaniard makes City tick with his elegant passing and sharp movement. If Agüero is playing expect them to rekindle the devastating telepathic connection formed for half an hour on Monday night.
