Bolton will give Stuart Holden until the last possible minute to show he is fit for the Lancashire derby clash with Blackburn.

The American international has missed the last two matches for the Trotters with a thigh injury and was originally thought to be fit enough for the visit of Sam Allardyce's men.

However, Holden is still struggling with the problem and could once again be forced to watch from the stands, as Mark Davies keeps his place in the team.

Elsewhere, Matt Taylor is pushing for a recall to the Wanderers starting XI having been dropped in favour of Martin Petrov for the 1-0 defeat at Manchester City last weekend.
