Bolton want Arsenal starlet on loan

Bolton manager Owen Coyle is interested in taking Arsenal forward Carlos Vela on loan, according to reports.

It is thought that Arsene Wenger is open to the idea of allowing Vela, who has only played 65 minutes of Premier League football this season, to go on loan to get some valuable playing time.

Bolton developed a good relationship with Arsenal after Jack Wilshere’s successful loan spell last season, and are confident that they will be allowed to take Vela on loan in January.

Coyle is keen to acquire a striker in January to offer some genuine competition to current pair Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander. Both players, who got off to storming starts to the season, have only scored one goal in their last seven games. Bolton will be desperate to maintain their good form this year and the signing of Vela could provide just spark that they need.
