Manchester United will be boosted defensively after injured star Rafael confirms on Instagram that he has returned to training after missing the club’s last two games, Daily Star reports.
The 24-year-old is currently the only right back in the squad and after picking up a muscle injury he missed the games against Manchester City as well as Crystal Palace.
Right winger Antonio Valencia as well as centre-back Chris Smalling were both used in his absence as Louis van Gaal is believed to still be considering a purchase of another defender for that role.
With injuries to Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, and Jonny Evans, the return of the Brazilian will be a boost for the squad after he posted the confirmation on his social media account.
Van Gaal will surely be glad of the upcoming international break as he can take the extra week to prepare his squad to face a struggling Arsenal side the following weekend.
