Sky Sports are reporting that the two clubs have agreed on a £2million transfer fee for the Republic of Ireland international, who only made 4 appearances for the Potters last season.
Wilson wasn’t in the squad that travelled to Middlesbrough on Saturday, as Stoke drew 1-1 in their first Premier League game of the season.
Eddie Howe confirmed the deal was close, with a medical set to take place within the next 48 hours:
“We have agreed a fee and are waiting for the formalities to be completed.” said Howe.
Wilson spent the 2006-07 season on loan at Bournemouth from Portsmouth, competing in 26 League One fixtures, before getting his first taste of Premier League football with Pompey two seasons later. He then joined Stoke City in 2010, and has made nearly 150 league appearances for the Potters.
However it seems he’s played his last game in Stoke colours, with a deal to Bournemouth set to be officially announced in the early stages of this week.
