Bournemouth are looking to reinforce their side with the signing of Crystal Palace star Dwight Gayle, Daily Star reports.
The 25-year-old was a key member for his side last season, but has been struggling to hold down a regular role over the course of the current campaign, making only six Premier League appearances so far.
He was even close to leaving the club during the summer after being linked with a switch to Championship outfits Bristol City.
Cherries boss Eddie Howe is keen to lure the forward to his club due to the injury to Callum Wilson, who damaged his cruciate ligament back in September and is expected to be out for at least six months.
He managed to register 10 goals from a total of 29 games in all competitions for his side last term, but has so far been unable to replicate his form this term.
Palace also saw Glenn Murray join Bournemouth during the summer, so should Gayle decide to leave, he could be reunited with his former teammate at Dean Court.
